Friday Farmers Market at the Radian Plaza
We have some nutritious news for residents of University City. In June and July, there will be a weekly farmers market every Friday from 12-2 pm at The Radian Building at 3925 Walnut St. University City District has partnered with The Food Trust, The Rotunda and Inland American Retail Management LLC, to bring fresh produce and live music from the West Philadelphia Orchestra and Unidos da Filadelfia to the block. The Radian is the perfect social space to pull this off at, because it has such great foot traffic and a variety of retailers set there. We look forward to checking it out in June. Just add it to our list of quick things to do out West.

Summer in the City Honey: Host Your Own Hive
HYOH: Host your own hive? That's how we're referring to a project from Milk & Honey Market in West Philadelphia. The organic market is pairing up with Two Gander Farm for Summer in the City Honey.
Simply put, if you have a roof or backyard in West Philly or Center City, you can host a beehive. Now, before you start freaking out about bee incidents, relax. Trey Flemming of Two Gander Farm will bring the hive to your home, where he'll set it up safely, and he'll visit every three weeks to check up on your little honey-making machine. You'll host the hive from early May to the end of June. It'll be like your own inn of bee guests, and the resulting honey that is harvested will be sold at Milk & Honey Market. Some of the proceeds will benefit The Orchard Project, and all hosts will receive two pints of the sticky stuff. Yum. We can think of all matters of deliciousness that we could wreak with such honey.
Want to HYOH? Call 215-387-milk, email info@milkandhoneymarket.com or stop by the market at 45th Street and Baltimore Avenue.

Get Lively at Your Neighborhood Fitness Studio
Philadelphia is a city full of fitness options that go beyond the gym. Urban yoga studios and method instructors have branched out into neighborhoods where they can offer a more convenient workout that's close to home.
The Lithe Method has locations in Northern Liberties, Rittenhouse Square, and Ardmore. Lauren Boggi's signature program combines ballet barre work, Pilates, cardio, and strength training. It's tougher than it sounds and has garnered quite a following with those who are looking for a unique workout with schedule-friendly classes on weekends and evenings. Boggi maintains a blog called Fit Hip Healthy and her instructors frequently contribute. Each class is a full body workout, but specially targets certain body parts, with names like Waspie, Skinny Jeans, or High Mini. Sign up for an Immersion Class today and take advantage of the New Client Intro - 3 classes for $45. You can drop into a class whenever you want, whether you're sweating a fun, relaxing session in Rittenhouse or at the Liberties Walk location.
Dhyana Yoga is another neighborhood-friendly yoga studio that has locations in Old City, Rittenhouse Square, West Philadelphia, and the Main Line. So wherever you are in Philadelphia, there's a Dhyana class happening nearby. They offer a variety of workshops and hold over 125 classes per week, so there's bound to be something that fits into your schedule.
There's also a new yoga outpost coming to Northern Liberties. The Sankhya Yoga School and Wellness Center will open a new location at the Media Bureau building on Saturday, March 20. The festivities will begin with a meditation class, yoga session, and vegan snacks afterwards.

How Philly Moves: A Moving Tribute to Philadelphia Dancers
Do you remember what the current parking garages at the Philadelphia International Airport look like?
No, why would you? It's the same bland structure you'd find at most airports. How Philly Moves, a project from the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, aims to change that. They want to add 50,000 square feet of photographic work from West Philly artist Jacques-Jean “JJ” Tiziou to the garage. This would liven up the scene for over 32 million national and international travelers that pass by each year. For the half-mile-long stretch, Tiziou will choose images of dancing figures. He has photographed over 70 subjects so far, from amateur to professional, and will shoot another 60 dancers next month at the Painted Bride Art Center. Do you like to dance? Submit an application for your chance to be a part of the final design.
So how does Philadelphia move? Quite differently. From one neighborhood to the next, we find wide varieties of dancing. In Fishtown, we have the Philadelphia Argentine Tango School, then we have the West African dance and drumming clubs in West Philadelphia. There's the Indigenous Pitch Dance Collective who combine many homegrown styles of dance, and the Kun Yang Lin dance company in South Philly, that bring Eastern Asian influence to Western contemporary dance style. We have hoop dancers and burlesque troupes, crowds of swaying bodies at dance parties, and the movement in the streets during rush hour. We know that Tiziou will capture some of this and make coming home from the airport a better experience.
