Be Well at Lithe Method Pilates in Northern Liberties

I grabbed my Philadelphia Magazine that was sitting face down on my desk, buried under some random junk mail and only about a million Victoria's Secret Holiday sales catalogs, when I saw her. Peering at me with a serene Mona Lisa-like smile but showing her pearly white teeth... I knew this girl. It was Lauren Boggi on the cover of a supplemental insert that came with my much loved Philadelphia Magazine. Above her head was printed Be Well Philly.

Who is Lauren Boggi, you ask? The founder of Lithe Method is, in my opinion, a role model for all women of strength, intelligence, and yes, beauty. Contrary to those Victoria's Secret models all twisted and contorted in their leopard bra and stiletto heels, Lauren Boggi gives new meaning to the word "Stiletto" (an exercise move to reckon with in Boggi's classes). Boggi represents what women can and do aspire to be.  The decisions she made to overcome obstacles in her life and career is not so much unique as much as it is a reminder to all women, that our life experiences and our uniqueness shapes and perfects us. Girls Rock and Lauren is a true leader, inspiring so many women through pilates.

I take her classes at the Lithe Method studio in Northern Liberties and I am a changed woman because of it. I feel better, I am happier, stronger... I can go on and on. But do not take my word for it. Visit the Lithe Method website for yourself. Visit the studio, speak to one of the instructors, who, like Lauren, are simply the epitome of confidence and strength. And the women who I have met in the classes, are as diverse as the many varieties of Victoria's Secret panties we see in those catalogs.

There are studios in Northern Liberties, Ardmore, Rittenhouse, and one opening soon in Old City.

Be well, Philly.

We Like it on Top: The Top 7 Percent of Philadelphia Realtors, that is.

Five Star Real Estate AgentCheck out the September issue of Philadelphia Magazine for your 2010 FIVE STAR: Real Estate Agents, the Somers Team.  Philadelphia area consumers named us tops for Overall Satisfaction. FIVE STAR's awards are given to only 7 percent of professionals in a given industry and market area. It is such a great feeling and an honor to be rewarded, and we humbly thank our clients and peers for this recognition.

To qualify for this distinction, an agent must meet the criteria before moving on to an evaluation that calculates scores based on satisfaction of clients, peers and industry experts. We are thrilled to have made the list this year!

Five enormous thank yous for five stars that we will do our best to uphold.
