Philadelphia is currently developing a piece of land just south of this high rise cluster on The Festival Pier on Deleware Ave and Spring Garden. The Race Street Pier is already a lovely walking park. On your visit to 901 N Front Street please check ot Northern Liberties, specifically the Piazza At Schmidt's marked by the HUGE Flat Screen TV and Liberties Walk in addition to the Race Street Pier.

Piers 3 and 5 were once thriving ports for all kind of imported food, goods and exotic cargo. The New Race Street Pier Brings Energy to Philadelphia

Stephanie and I took a lovely walk to the newly opened Race Street Pier this past weekend. Not only does it bring energy, it provides access to the River !

Before this was just a barren wasteland. Now it is a lovely, manicured, landscaped getaway of sorts: a little piece of heaven on Penns Landing where folks can walk out onto to the pier, next to the Ben Franklin bridge, enjoy a water ice, some music and a nice breeze.

It is a great addition to the City of Philadelphia ! Having another destination on the River is a great start of many things to come.

It will be a great summer !

One of our favorite squares in Philly (oh, come on, how does one choose?) is coming out to play - Franklin Square is back for the season! It's official, on April 1st, the square with the carousel, mini golf, and burger shack, is all systems go for another fun spring/summer.
