Things to Do in Brewerytown: Bike Fairmount Park

Biking in Fairmount Park is one of the best ways to spend an afternoon weekend in Philadelphia. It's especially easy for those that live in Brewerytown or the Art Museum/Fairmount areas, because the Park is practically your back yard.

The gorgeous views and fresh air will help you unwind, and the winding roads that hold the secrets of Fairmount Park will satisfy any adventure-seekers.

Some persistent riders even make it all the way to Devil's Pool, a secret 30-foot waterfall in the Park.

You can check out the Fairmount Park site for trails in the area that are suitable for any rider, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned cyclist. Even if you don't bike, Kelly Drive is perfect for jogging.

The neighborhood around it is quiet and family-friendly, with access to the largest and oldest park in the country, Fairmount Park. There are many restaurants located on Fairmount Avenue, in addition to the popular Halloween and Bastille Day attraction, Eastern State Penitentiary.
