3 Bedrooms and Sardine Sandwiches in Graduate Hospital

1506 S 24th Street is a stunning 3 Bedroom Home in Graduate Hospital with the works...including...sardine sandwiches?

That's right, this home is near the newly opened American Sardine Bar (the former Wander Inn) where you can expect a playful inventive menu and great beer just a few blocks away.

But back to the goods. This home has hardwood floors on the 1st floor, an open floor plan with large living and dining rooms, a kitchen with glass back splash, stainless appliances, polished granite counter tops, new cabinetry, and access to the rear yard. The yard is a beautiful addition to this home with fencing and brick paver patio with professional landscaping. The 2nd floor has all new neutral color carpeting, a new 3 piece bathroom with storage vanity and spacious rooms. Central air, in move-in condition and a fantastic opportunity!

Check it out...and then book your tour with the Somers Team! And end it with a bite and a nip at American Sardine Bar.

It’s Bloktober Time

Bloktoberfest is taking over the streets of South Street West (southwest of Center City) tomorrow for a day of free music and plenty of street food that will highlight local businesses in the neighborhood. Fall's best craft beer, emerging local artists, and Philly's hottest food trucks? Now that's a block party.

Start at the Bloktoberfest Welcome Tent sponsored by Rittenhouse Market at 21st and Christian, where you can pick up a $12 Beer Pass that is good for a beer stein and 3 drink tickets. Live performances will be on the Blok Stage and at Shiloh Gallery. For the full schedule and more details, check out the Bloktoberfest site.

If you haven't ventured around this neighborhood before, or if it's been too long, this is the perfect time to check it out.

Proceeds from Bloktoberfest are directed toward vital architectural preservation work for the Shiloh Baptist Church at 2040 Christian St, a a neighborhood landmark designed by Frank Furness in 1868 and listed in the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places.
