The star of this property video is Milo without a doubt! Those eyes! That tail! What a good boy! My handsome canine partner Milo was one of many rescue animals that Street Tails Animal Rescue has saved from a life of neglect and cruelty. The setting is in the Northern Liberties district of Philadelphia. Northern Liberties is a cool, artsy, industrial inspired neighborhood known for its love for animals and Philadelphia's most desired Real Estate.
A special thank you to Chic Petique and Street Tails for letting us include them in our video. Many viewers may know Street Tails Animal Rescue through their most recent social media star "Lentil". Street Tails and the animal shop Chic Petique are located at 1030 N 2nd St #401. This video was expertly filmed by the one and only Kris Johnson of krispfilms.com. And this video was sponsored by yours truly, The Somers, We are the premier real estate team that is devoted to supporting local Business, Art and Real Estate in Philadelphia.

The Papermill Community of Artists present COLORATURA, a group celebration of art and music for an art and music extravaganza at the Papermill Gallery this Saturday, June 29th that will run for one night only from 7pm-midnight. The Papermill is located at 2825 Ormes Street in Kensington.
So what exactly are you in for? From the press release:
This unique exhibit includes over forty artists, five bands, and two live painters. Among these are artists are Eric Kennedy, Louise O'Rourke, Daria Souvorova, Marie Elcin, Joanna Mroczek, Marie Tosto, Eric Remer, J'Nell Jordan and Greg Slade (Washington, DC), among many others. The night will come alive with a live soundtrack from musical acts Walter Foley and Friends, Sunset Recorder, The Dirty Soap Blues Band, Truant Minds, and Sweet Briar Rose.
Coloratura is defined in the Webster Dictionary as "singing with florid ornamentation", stemming from the Italian word meaning "to color". The intended definition seemed a perfect marriage of expressive, colorful works of visual art and melodic musical ensembles, carefully selected and arranged to fit the diverse nature of the theme

The Inquirer makes a case for Port Richmond in this spotlight on one of our favorite neighborhoods. But it's not just the awesome pierogi and Polish specialties that makes Port Richmond hot. The article points out something that we have indeed been noticing, that Port Richmond is getting younger, with its affordable pricing drawing in buyers, mainly in their late 20s and early 30s. Our own Chris Somers of the Somers Team was quoted in the article:
"The sections of [zip code] 19125 that are not really Fishtown still get more attention, such as East Kensington west of Frankford Avenue and north of York Street [Old Richmond]," Somers said. "[Yet] Port Richmond as well as Bridesburg attract the younger buyer, too, and the price points are quite affordable."
If you're looking for a great deal outside of Center City, all signs are pointing towards Port Richmond.
Curious about Port Richmond? Here are two amazing properties worth checking out. Both homes are priced under $190,000.

Our team agent Sean Dundon and I were discussing the magnitude of rental leads for a property he had listed for rent and for sale in the Cobbs Creek Neighborhood. Homes are selling for under $60,000 and renting for up to $850/mo (click photos below to enlarge). Folks, to me, that's a winning investment scenario. If you would like more information about buying to invest and finding a winning investment plan, please contact us at The Somers Team.
