Why is Occupy Philly Censoring on Facebook?
It came to my surprise today that my comments were deleted from Occupy Philly Facebook's page. And needless to say, I am unable to make any new comments. I noticed when I went to the page, I had to "relike" the page. What I find very surprising here is that this was supposed to be a movement that prides itself on the Freedom of Speech and democracy, NOT censorship, exclusion and a form of big brother!

Yes, I have been both a supporter and a critic of Occupy Philly. I have written several blogs about the movement and have kept active on all the recent news. None of the comments were obscene. But what is going on here is whoever is moderating the Facebook page might see something they do not like, and simply delete a user instead of allowing additional discussion which goes against everything the Occupy movement stands for.
I am asking for a public apology from Occupy Philly about their censorship of Facebook. And if they reinstate my account for discussion, that is up to them. Either way, I am getting fed up with it.
What are your thoughts?

It definitely is a shame that discussion would be censored, especially for the freedom of speech occupy movement.

Yup, they did the same thing with both of my posts. I was simply trying to understand their goal, but apparently discussion is not something they’re interested in unless it’s to hail their movement. They need to stop acting as if they represent the 99%. They don’t.
And I’m glad they’ve been evicted. I completely understand the issues they care about–I care about them, too–but they don’t seem to understand what it is they’re doing. They don’t have a clear message of what it is they want. They don’t have a logical plan of action. They don’t have a leader. They aren’t organized. They didn’t have the rationality to think that about their word usage. “Protests” aren’t exactly the same thing as “occupation”, and the word paints a very different picture. And they’ve become a nuisance to the very people they supposedly represent. They get in the way of school buses trying to pick kids up and drop them off. They almost made me late for a job interview by blocking my path and making me have to walk around them. They stopped rush-hour traffic on a bridge as if it wasn’t just normal hard-working people trying to get home and feed their families. Some of them probably had their kids at a sitter and might have had to shell out extra money for being late to pick them up. Not to mention all the police officers who have actual criminals to deal with, and instead are baby-sitting these mobs in case the anger gets to a breaking point… I just don’t understand what these guys are about, and I view them now from the same angle I view the tea party, the only difference is their cause. I could be wrong, but when I ask for clarity they turn their back and ignore my questions.
