2nd Street Cleanup: Results!

We want to thank everyone who showed up on Saturday for the 2nd Street Cleanup and donated their time and energy into giving 2nd Street from Fairmount to Poplar a much-needed facelift.  We also want to thank Liberties Parcel for donating the fantastic signs for the event and Green Eggs Cafe for passing around delicious iced tea relief to the volunteers. Thanks to the NLNA for the brooms, gloves, and other supplies for the cleanup.  Together we made quick work of the litter, weeds, cigarette butts, and debris lining the streets and filled every single trash bag! Just check out the pile of trash we removed from 2nd Street - nice haul and great work, everyone!

It was also good to see how many residents and owners thanked us and inquired about what we were doing - we will keep you posted on future cleanup efforts if you would like to be involved!
