Update on Spring Garden Greenway Project
You can read about the Spring Garden Greenway Project over at DIGSAU's site, the beautification project that aims to turn the Spring Garden SEPTA station and underpass into a pedestrian promenade with street plantings, better lighting, and art installations. We're happy to know that the first step in this undertaking is already set for May 22. The Northern Liberties Neighbors Associations will plant 55 trees along the Spring Garden corridor, but they need some volunteers. If you'd like to have a hand in making the gateway to Northern Liberties a little greener, email Erika Goldberg, bgoldewag@verizon.net (or matt@nlna.org). The team will begin by digging holes on May 21.
