Our Front Yard in Northern Liberties

Well, not our front yard, exactly.

Our Front Yard is a community garden project that is making the most of a plot in Northern Liberties. As part of the Community Growers Association through the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the project is in collaboration with the City Harvest Program and the Urban Nutrition Initiative. Neighbors also help pitch in for necessary supplies and gardening tools and upkeep of the garden is a shared responsibility. Of all the produce that Our Front Yard's garden yields, it will donate two thirds to local groups like Teens 4 Good,which has set teenagers to work in urban gardens and farms all over the city.
