What’s up with…Art Museum/Fairmount
The Art Museum is a neighborhood built around and along the Parkway, with access to the city's museums, such as its namesake, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Franklin Institute. It is host to many major events and parades and is a popular stretch for joggers and marathon-runners. The neighborhood around it is quiet and family-friendly, with access to the largest and oldest park in the country, Fairmount Park. There are many restaurants located on Fairmount Avenue, in addition to the popular Halloween and Bastille Day attraction, Eastern State Penitentiary. Center City Philadelphia is only a short walk away.
