The Training Station in Northern Liberties: Water Rower, Olympic-Standard Gear, and a Killer View
Phil Clark gives us the rundown on the Training Station Gym in the Piazza in Northern Liberties. Located on the third floor of the Rialto building (just below our office!), the Training Station is a sleek, smartly-designed fitness center for those who want an efficient workout that maximizes your time. Track your progress at this modernized gym, that allows you to record and save your results on machines, so you can see improvements and push yourself even further. Natural light pours into the giant room from the surrounding windows, allowing for some of the best views in Northern Liberties.
Owner Clark will also work with members to create fitness routines and meal plans with grocery lists for those who want an extra boost. He believes in keeping the gym immaculate and has selected equipment that assures safety. One thing you might notice that is a bit different here at the Training Station? There are no mirrors. This is because Clark stresses the importance of learning the movement of an exercise through kinesthetic memory, instead of trying to perfect your form visually. Clark's choices for weight training stations are also thoughtful -- rather than a selection of machines that oversimplify and replicate exercises, he has brought in free weights to focus on the proper training regimen. And don't forget to pick up some new kicks from Clark's shoe store in the Piazza, Run.

What this means is, not only will you sweat more, you'll achieve more from your workout, as long as you don't slack. And if you do? The gym will call you to remind you if you've missed a couple of sessions. No excuses.
