Craving Spring? Try the Philadelphia Flower Show

Philadelphia Flower Show
It might look dreary outside, but in the Convention Center for the Philadelphia Flower Show, it's always warm, bright, and energizing. In ten days, the 2010 Flower Show springs back into action, gathering the horticulture geeks, artists, students, florists, and flower enthusiasts for a week of pretty green things from February 28 to March 7. This year, the show's theme will be "Passport to the World", highlighting unusual international plants. The rare Vessel Fern will make an appearance, incorporated into the Explorer’s Garden exhibit. You'll also be able to get your hands on some ancient igneous rock from one of this year's new vendors, Igneous Rock Gallery.

For a complete list of exhibits, you can peep the exhibit list. The marketplace will include over 150 vendors selling seeds, containers, plants, and specialty foods. World Cafe Live will be providing international music for the show. Until it starts, you can follow along by reading the Flower Show blog.

Tickets are available online at the Flower Show website or at select locations.
